Identifying a problem

It is a fact of life that businesses often exerience difficulties at some stage of their natural life. Many sucessfully deal with these challenges, and ultimately become prosperous businesses.

The problem for employees often arises when they are kept in the dark about the problems and often by the time that they are aware there is a problem it is too late to do anything about it.

This section deals with employers who may have financial problems but have not yet entered into a legal process such as liquidation, Receivership or Administration. The section is split into 4 sections:

Warning signs;

Action that employees can take to protect themselves from the possible effects of financial problems;

What may happen due to the financial difficulties; and

What action an employee can take if they have not been paid by their employer due to its financial problems.

These can be accessed using the menu on the left or clicking on the 'next' button below.
